The Nutanix NX-3060-G9 packs two independent server nodes into a single 2U chassis. This format doubles the compute you get per rack unit, which is why it so often becomes the foundation of a virtualization cluster.

Who the 2U2N format suits
Single-node models such as the NX-1150S-G9 make sense when you need headroom for drives or a GPU. The NX-3060-G9 solves a different problem: fitting more nodes into the same rack. That matters for clustering — Nutanix requires at least three nodes, and two 2U2N chassis give you four.
The trade-off for density is drive space: 2U2N has less of it than 2U1N. If your workload is about data volume rather than the number of virtual machines, look at the NX-8155-G9 instead.
