Liebert GXT5 3000VA: a 2U online UPS
GXT5-3000IRT2UXLN is a Vertiv Liebert GXT5 online double-conversion UPS with lead-acid batteries. Vertiv describes the series as single-phase. Rating: 3000VA / 3000W, pure sine wave output.
Battery and runtime
The built-in VRLA batteries can be swapped without shutting the UPS down. At full load the UPS runs for 3.3 minutes, at half load for 10.8. With one GXT5-EBC72VRT2U battery module this grows to 19.1 and 47.5 minutes, and up to 10 modules can be connected. Internal battery replacement kit: GXT5-72VBATKIT.
Input and outlets
Input is IEC C20, the output has six C13 outlets and one C19. Four outlets are programmable: they can be switched off on a schedule or ahead of the others to stretch runtime for the main equipment. Output voltage is selectable at 200, 208, 220, 230 or 240V, input range 115–280V.
Mounting and management
A 2U rack or tower chassis, rail kit in the box. Dimensions 430 × 540 × 85 mm, weight 28.5 kg, operating from 0 to 40 °C. Included: a Vertiv IntelliSlot network card, a 2 m USB cable, a 1.8 m RS232 cable, three C13–C14 output cables and UK, AUS and Schuko input cords, 2.5 m. There are four dry contacts and a serial port for management through a console server.
Where it fits
A network cabinet, a small server or a lab bench. Add up the consumption of all the equipment: 3000W is the ceiling, not headroom. Neighbouring model: GXT5-2000IRT2UXLN; a simpler Vertiv series at the same rating: GXE3-3000IRT2UXL. For the rack there is the Vertiv VR3300 cabinet.
